Reliability takes more expertise than most plants keep on staff. Programs need constant attention, demand spikes with every turnaround and project, and specialist skills are hard to hire and harder to keep. We provide those resources on demand.

We get called in when the equipment register is not trusted, when a turnaround is coming and the scope keeps growing, when a CMMS is being replaced or was never set up properly, when reactive work has taken over, or when a capital project is heading for handover with no maintenance strategy behind it.
If you need stamped design work or a contractor to carry out the repairs, we are not the right call. We work on the program: what gets maintained, how often, why, and who owns it after we go.

The principal leads every engagement and stays on it from start to finish. Around that sits a network of senior specialists brought in per project as the scope requires: maintenance planning, reliability, CMMS configuration, storeroom and MRO. You pay for that experience while the project needs it and not as permanent headcount. Work happens on site or remotely, whichever suits the job. Register and criticality work runs well remotely once the field data is captured. Storeroom work, turnaround support and mentoring need someone there.

The people on the work.
Jens has spent more than fifteen years in refining and chemical manufacturing, from frontline turnaround and project execution through to directing corporate reliability across a 58-site portfolio. He leads every engagement and stays on it from start to finish.
Most recently he ran corporate mechanical reliability for a multi-site chemical manufacturer, leading a team of eight reliability professionals across four business groups and 58 sites, and building the programs, standards and procedures those sites ran on. Before that he managed a plant maintenance function: turnaround and project support from planning and readiness through field execution, along with the budget, the contractors and the shutdown scope.
His engineering years were spent in refinery reliability and projects. He implemented a site-wide equipment care work process, advanced RCM, ran bad actor and root cause analysis with Weibull and Crow-AMSAA trending, and delivered brownfield projects from $200,000 to $7 million with field engineering on jobs above $50 million.
He started Reliability Simplified to do that work for plants that cannot keep those skills on staff. He is based in Anacortes, Washington.
Rocky brings extensive global experience in the oil and gas sector across onshore, offshore, greenfield and brownfield projects, with a background in team leadership, operations excellence, operations management, project management and regulatory compliance.
Before joining Reliability Simplified he founded and led CxSO-OGMP, where he ran commissioning, startup, debottlenecking and full facility operations on projects valued over $40 billion. He also serves as President and Founding Director of Renewable Power Energy Innovators Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit delivering solar projects in minority and disadvantaged communities across the United States.
